I had so much fun creating these sweet Edible Roses that I decided to experiment with bacon.... mmmm.
I turned a classic Chicago-style pizza into a unique party centerpiece.
Substitute bacon with anything of your taste and add/serve some sauce on the side to make pizzas really juicy and delicious.
This recipe will give you 10-14 pizza rolls. You may simply serve them on a plate or create an edible arrangement like I did with my sweet roses.
LETS GET STARTED
DOUGH :
4 oz of warm water
1/2 Tsp. dry yeast
salt (pepper and spices are optional)
less than 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1Tbs. olive oil
1/4 cup salad oil
2 Tbs. cornmeal
2 1/2 cups flour
bacon/ham/pepperoni to your taste
cheese (any type) as much as you like.

STEPS:
In
the mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast in the water. Add salt and seasoning if you wish. Add the salad
oil, the olive oil, the cornmeal, Parmesan cheese and flour. You may need a bit more or less flour. Make sure that the dough is not too sticky but it shouldn't be too tough either.
BAKE: 375F for 20-30 min
I had my bacon in 2 layers but I cut it into 1 inch pieces. It's easier to eat this way. |
